The Community Room is designed to accommodate events hosted by White Bear Lake-based civic groups, non-profit organizations, community clubs, and private social events held by residents or businesses located in the city. The Community Room is not intended and shall not be used to conduct commercial enterprise or activities.

  • May 1 - Labor Day:  Monday - Sunday, 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
    Please note the earlier end time during warmer months. This supports our local businesses by relieving parking.
  • Labor Day - April 30:  Monday - Sunday, 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
  • No availability on holidays
     

Fees

The rental fee is $500 for up to four hours, and $50.00 per extra hour (up to two). 

Nonprofit organizations based in White Bear Lake, per its registered office address, or White Bear Lake civic/governmental groups may use the room at no cost for groups less than 20 people. For groups of 20 or more, there is a $50 fee, plus determined cleaning costs. Nonprofit organizations will be asked to provide a federal tax ID to verify your 501(c)(3) status.

Fees support the maintenance, cleanliness, and condition of the room.

NOTE: All groups are responsible for setting up and taking down the stored furniture.

All parties serving alcohol are required to provide liquor liability insurance in the minimum amount of $1,000,000, naming the City of White Bear Lake as additional insured and covering the date and location of the event.
Acknowledgement

By submitting your electronic signature below, you are acknowledging:

1)  Upon application approval, the City of White Bear Lake shall make available the Boat Works Commons facilities for use on the date specified.  The City reserves the right to exercise supervisory authority and to prevent unauthorized or illegal activities on City property.  The City shall not be responsible for interruptions of the use of the described facilities for reasons beyond its control, and reserves the right to cancel this reservation for reasons of public safety of convenience.

2)  I (We) represent and agree that I (we) read and understand the policies regarding the use of the Boat Works Commons, including cancellation procedures, liabilities and responsibilities assumed, times and curfews and maximum room capacities. I (We) further understand that fees paid by me (us) are refundable only in accordance with City policies recited in the Policy for Use of the Boat Works Commons.

3)  I (We) agree that my (our) use of the Boat Works Commons facility is voluntary and undertaken at my (our) own risk and that the City of White Bear Lake will not be liable for any claims, injuries, damages of whatever nature incurred by me or members of my (our) organization due to the negligence of members of my (our) organization, or the negligence of third parties.

4) On behalf of myself and the organization that I represent, I expressly forever release and discharge the City, its agents or employees, from any such claims, injuries or damages.  I also agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the City from any claims, injuries or damages of whatever nature arising out of or connected with my use of the Boat Works Commons. I also agree to reimburse the City for any damage, breakage, maintenance, theft of equipment beyond the damage deposit figure if so warranted.
