Retail Sale of Fireworks Permits

The City of White Bear Lake regulates the sale of fireworks within its jurisdiction under Section 1126 of the Municipal Code.  Once an application for Retail Sales and Storage of Fireworks has been made and the product is in place, the White Bear Lake Fire Department, or designee, conducts an inspection of the sales structure or storage structure to determine compliance with federal, state and local requirements. 

Complete this application and submit applicable payment via electronic payment (click here), cash or check payable to, "City of White Bear Lake". Fees? Visit the Fee Schedule webpage and navigate to the latest schedule. The cost applies to each firework sales location.

NOTE: If you plan to sell fireworks in an outdoor tent , you will be required to submit your tent permit application with this retail sales application.

Before you begin the application: 

Complete this pre-application question to determine if you need to prepare (and have ready to upload) documentation for outdoor sales in tents. This will help streamline the process to get your permit processed.

Prepare to do the following:

1.  Upload site plan drawings of your retail sales setup (required for all)
2.  Upload your Building Permit Application (tents only)
3.  Provide your Minnesota Tax ID or FEIN number
4.  Provide your workers compensation carrier name, policy number, and dates of coverage.
